CAC Specialty’s Carrie O’Neil, Sara Kane, and Dameion Baker named to Insurance Business America’s Hot 100 2022 List

Dec 3, 2021

CAC Specialty is proud to announce that Carrie O’Neil, Sara Kane, and Dameion Baker have been named to Insurance Business America’s Hot 100 List for 2022.

The IBA Hot 100 list recognizes the hottest industry professionals, whether they’re producers, innovators, or executives, who have turned these unprecedented challenges of the past year into amazing opportunities. The Hot 100 honorees are forward-thinking professionals and according to IBA, the best and brightest the industry has to offer.

Carrie O’Neil leads the CAC Specialty Legal and Claims team. As the SPAC/deSPAC craze took off, Carrie and CAC’s Financial Lines brokers analyzed the market’s blanket approach to D&O coverage deSpac transactions, and advocated early and often for an alternative approach to coverage. She and her team also led the development of CAC’s blog, CAC Connect, which provided valuable updates.

Dameion Baker, Senior Vice President at CAC, has been instrumental in the setup of the newly formed P&C platform at CAC Specialty. In addition, and in spite of an incredibly hard market, Dameion has been able to obtain renewal results well below what the current market conditions are dictating while maintaining or expanding terms and conditions for clients. Dameion also played a key role in CAC Specialty’s inaugural Summer 2021 Internship Program and is a member of the National African American Insurance Association.

Sara Kane is the Co-leader of the CAC Power & Renewables practice, which launched when she arrived. Her responsibilities include CAC Natural Resources executive committee participation, strategic planning and implementation of CAC NR Power and Renewables annual goals, management of the Power and Renewables sales team, and leadership of new product development. She is committed to the advancement of women in the organization and sees the insurance industry as an important element to impact climate change.

“As we continued to face many challenges in 2021, Carrie, Dameion, and Sara worked persistently to ensure the success of CAC Specialty clients,” said CEO Mike Rice. “We are proud of each of them for this accomplishment, and are honored to have their leadership, intelligence, and drive at CAC.”
