Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

At CAC Specialty, our people are our greatest asset. We embrace our colleagues’ diverse array of experiences, talents and ideas. We firmly believe that these contribute to smarter decision-making and improved outcomes, ultimately driving our success. While we recognize that the insurance industry has historically fallen short on DE&I, we at CAC Specialty strive to do better and are committed to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion at all levels.
Across our firm, including our client and insurer relationships, we embrace diversity of background, perspective, culture, and experience. We firmly believe that diverse perspectives and collaboration among colleagues help generate better ideas to solve the complex problems our clients face.
We believe that discussing, promoting and engaging in DE&I work helps employees feel safe, respected and more connected, which leads to a strong sense of community at CAC Specialty.
We are committed to:
Advancement
Developing, promoting and advancing colleagues.
Recruitment
Attracting and recruiting underrepresented colleagues at all levels.
Support & Education
Providing ongoing support, education, and engagement for employees at all levels.

Ongoing DE&I Education
Workshops
CAC Specialty colleagues engage in ongoing DE&I training through quarterly educational workshops. Recognizing the importance of fostering a more inclusive workplace environment, CAC Specialty engaged Nona Lee, founder and CEO of Truth DE&I and former Chief Legal Officer of the Arizona Diamondbacks, to conduct specialized training sessions for colleagues over the past year. These sessions have led to valuable discussions on topics such as:
- Understanding Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
- Unconscious Bias
- Microaggressions and Bias
- Allyship

CAC Specialty & Cobbs Allen
Impact Day 2023
Our first Impact Day was a tremendous success, with an outstanding turnout from our Cobbs Allen and CAC Specialty colleagues. A big thank you to the DE&I Committee, CAC Cares, and Cobbs Give Back, who led the charge in organizing our first-ever Impact Day in July 2023. Together, we made a significant difference by volunteering and supporting non-profit organizations in our seven largest cities, partnering with food banks, a homeless shelter and the Salvation Army, to name a few.
Highlights from our first Impact Day include volunteer projects in Birmingham, Denver, Houston, New York and Atlanta, with more than 125 colleagues participating. Looking ahead, we aim to expand Impact Day to encompass all CAC/CAH offices, creating regional volunteer events where employees can support local community organizations. We want every employee to have the opportunity to engage and take action in support of underrepresented and marginalized groups within our communities.
We are thrilled by the success of our inaugural Impact Day and appreciate our colleagues' support and engagement.
