Jack Leventhal

Senior Managing Director – Structured Solutions Co-Practice Leader

Jack has more than 25 years of investment banking experience and has executed more than $100 billion of public and private capital raisings, mergers and acquisitions, financial advisory transactions, and structured transactions on a global basis. Jack began his career in the financial institution groups of Salomon Brothers and Lehman Brothers, before spending almost 10 years at UBS Securities and almost 11 years at Nomura Securities.

In 1995, Jack was one of the first members of a newly created U.S. investment banking business at UBS.  In 1999, he relocated to Hong Kong to lead UBS’ Asia Pacific Financial Institutions effort, which, during Jack’s tenure, consistently ranked as a market leader in investment banking services.

In 2005, Jack joined Nomura Securities in New York to create and build a U.S. Financial Institutions investment banking business. Under his leadership, the group grew from two professionals to more than two dozen professionals and was consistently among the most productive investment banking groups within Nomura Americas.

Jack has a B.A. in economics, summa cum laude, from the University at Albany (where he was ranked number one out of 2,500 students) and an M.B.A. in finance and business policy from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
