William Ison

William Ison joined the CAC Specialty team in May of 2023 as a Vice President for the Surety practice group.

Prior to joining, William served as the Contract Surety Underwriter for Markel Corporation and was responsible for the underwriting for Markel’s Alabama Contract Surety book of business as well as major Houston brokerage firms. He spent a couple of years with Chubb Ltd., where he performed capitalization and liquidity analysis when underwriting surety bonds to predict probability of default on jobs within contractor’s work in progress.

William earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He also attended the London School of Economics.
