Sean Pender

Sean Pender joined the CAC Specialty team in May of 2022 as Senior Vice President for the Construction and Development practice group. As a national-level resource, his focus is to design and implement dynamic insurance and risk transfer/avoidance programs that will protect our clients most cost-effectively. Sean’s experience includes the operational programs of contracting risks and the owner-controlled programs for large development and renovation projects. It is continuing to build out a team of construction-focused professionals to provide the exemplary level of service our clients deserve.

Before joining CAC Specialty, Sean served as Commercial Lines Manager for the New Jersey and NewYork markets of USI Insurance Services. With over 20 years of experience, Sean is skilled in professional liability, P&C, liability analysis, excess, and workers’ compensation claims. Additionally, he holds his Certified Insurance Counselor certification.

Sean earned his Bachelor of Applied Science from Cook College of Rutgers University and pursued a concentration in environmental business and economics. Outside of work, his world revolves around his three daughters, and when they are not traveling for dance competitions, you can find them at the beach.
