Scott Smith

Scott Smith joined the CAC Specialty in 2022 as a Senior Vice President on the Private Equity team. His unique background helps him solve complex problems and is a strong asset to the team.

Prior to joining CAC, Scott played Division I golf at Northwestern before spending several years in banking at Citigroup in Chicago. After Citi, Scott moved to Denver and co-founded a ride-sharing technology platform for private aviation called FlightLink. During his time at FlightLink, he had the opportunity to experience all aspects of running a business, including buying insurance. After FlightLink, Scott decided to learn the insurance business by joining the property & casualty team at a large brokerage shop in Denver. He excelled in his role by bringing an innovative, financial, and entrepreneurial perspective to the risk management.

Scott lives in Edgewater CO, and is recently married to his wife Katie. He is active in the local community and is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting & skiing.
