Nate Baseman

Nate is a Senior Vice President at CAC Specialty with 17 years of insurance analytics experience. He joined CAC Specialty in September of 2020. In his role at CAC, Baseman partners alongside all the existing analytic activity and leads the extension of firmwide capabilities around topics including catastrophe modeling, claims analytics, captive assessment, collateral requirements, claim / loss trending, insurance program optimization and client data visualizations.

Most recently, Baseman was Director of Analytics for Lockton Companies, where he was responsible for strategy, research and planning for a national analytics teams that spanned both benefits and property and casualty. Prior to Lockton, Baseman served as an actuary at BMS Group and before that with several insurance organizations where his work spanned the connection between effective catastrophe modeling reinsurance buying optimization, pricing actuary activity, and helping lead client interactions.

Nate is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Nate graduated from the University of Minnesota where he received Bachelor of Science in Biological Science in Actuarial Science and Risk Management/Insurance. He currently lives in Denver, CO with his two daughters.
