Melissa Menard

Melissa Menard joined the CAC Specialty team in April of 2023 as an Executive Vice President for the Healthcare division. Melissa brings a wealth of experience in strategy and business development, negotiations, and collaboration.  Melissa is responsible for driving business development, formulating, and implementing sales strategies, and corralling CAC Specialty resources to grow the healthcare division.

Prior to joining, Melissa served as managing director of Brown & Brown’s (formerly Beecher Carlson) national healthcare practice.  In that role, she managed all functional areas including, Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance & Accounting, Investments, Legal, Claims, and Operations as well as ensured regulatory compliance resulting in a successful examination conducted by the State of Rhode Island.  Menard has held a variety of leadership positions in the industry, including chief of staff for sales and account services at BlueCross BlueShield of Massachusetts and spent twelve years at Liberty Mutual.

Melissa earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Simmons College and her Master of Business Administration from Babson College, F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business. She also holds a Producer License for property and casualty and is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter.

When she’s not working, Melissa loves to travel with her family and has been to 6 of the 7 continents. She is an avid skier, and lives in Boston with her husband, Edwin, son, Michael, and pooch, Arlington, or Arlie for short.
