Megan Easley is a Senior Vice President of Contingent Risk for the Transactional Liability practice group. As part of the Contingent Risk team, she places policies for litigation and dispute-related risks, whether tied to single cases, portfolios, and/or intellectual property, on both the asset (plaintiff) and liability (defendant) sides. Megan joined CAC Specialty from Omni Bridgeway, one of the largest litigation funding groups in the world. She brings litigation finance experience to the group and further solidifies CAC Specialty’s position as the go-to broker for litigation risk insurance policies in the United States.
Megan brings a strong appellate legal mind to the CAC team. After graduating from law school, Megan clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit for Judge Richard C. Wesley and gained experience analyzing cases from multiple sides on appeal. Megan also has substantial commercial litigation experience. Megan started her career at Susman Godfrey in New York, where she handled a range of general commercial matters in state and federal courts. She also served as in-house litigation counsel at GE Capital for several years managing domestic and international litigation, disputes, and investigations.
Megan earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, and she obtained her J.D. from Cornell Law School, both magna cum laude.
