Mary Wong

Mary is a Senior Vice President at CAC Specialty for Mining, Energy- related Property and Casualty insurance placements. With over 23 years of risk management and 9 years of brokerage experience, she spent 2 years as an Insurance Practice Leader at Wells Fargo Insurance. Mary focuses on complex property and casualty insurance programs for mining, utilities and other catastrophe-exposed energy concerns.

Mary began her brokerage career in 2012 and has subsequently spent a total of 23 years in a risk management role on the client side. Her extensive global risk and insurance management experience includes very strong relationships with major insurance underwriters. Developed comprehensive risk management program design, marketing and placement of insurance programs, cost effectively managing a $70MM insurance budget including surety bond liability for the 4th largest Coal Mining Company in the U.S. While on the risk management side for the company, her accomplishments included successfully negotiated and recovered settlement of a property claim of $85MM.

Mary graduated from Calvin College with a degree in Business and Psychology.
