Maricela Piña

Maricela Piña joined the CAC Specialty team in April of 2023 as a Vice President, Account Executive for the Financial Lines Practice. Maricela has deep knowledge and experience in underwriting management liability, strategic planning, and business negotiation.

Prior to joining, Maricela served as a Vice President for Axis Insurance for 14 years where she was an underwriting manager responsible for the Texas region. She was responsible for growing and retaining a book of Directors and Officers Liability for both public and private insureds. She was the primary liaison for offices and departments within the organization, providing insight into the oil and gas industry and brokers in the Texas region. Prior to Axis she worked as a Southern Zone Public Underwriter and Assistant Vice President for Chubb Group.

Maricela earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Texas and holds a certificate in Accountancy Program from the University of Houston. Maricela is a native Texan and enjoys traveling with her husband Rafael and two boys, Rafael Jr and Gabriel.
