Marc Toy

Marc Toy is Executive Vice President of Power and Renewables and Senior Account Executive within CAC Specialty’s Natural Resources division. Marc serves as an outsourced risk manager for clients who finance, develop, own, operate and manage renewable and power generation assets. In this role, Marc is an extension of, and resource to, a client’s Risk, Legal, Finance and Asset Management teams. As a placement broker at CAC Specialty, Marc brings extensive experience and knowledge to develop and negotiate global Property/Builders Risk and Casualty insurance programs to ensure compliance with tax equity and financing insurance requirements and to satisfy local regulatory guidelines.

Prior to joining CAC Specialty, Marc was Managing Director with Beecher Carlson’s Global Energy Practice. For 11 years his work was dedicated to renewable energy and power generation, including solar, wind, hydro, geo-thermal, anaerobic digestion and early development of SMR technology. Notable achievements include negotiation and placement of a master builders risk program including the largest Solar + Storage project in Hawaii, negotiation and placement of a high-deductible carrier reimbursement “all risk” property program for one of the largest renewable power developers in North America and work to support development of offshore wind in North America and Japan.
