Kari Carter, MPS, SHRM-CP

Kari Carter joined the Cobbs Allen team in August of 2022 as an HR Consultant. She aids her team in supporting and augmenting our clients’ HR function. Before joining Cobbs Allen, Kari was a Benefits Generalist with UAB Medicine for a year and a half where she managed FMLA and leaves of absence, assisted with employee relations situations, and provided guidance related to employment law. Prior to that, she was a Benefits Manager at SourcePointe for three years where she monitored industry trends for strategic advantages in compensation and benefits and assisted in providing competitive compensation packages.

Prior to her work experience, Kari earned her Bachelor of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership and her Master of Professional Studies in Human Resource Leadership from the University of Memphis.

Kari is an Ambassador for the Hueytown Chamber of Commerce and serves as a Board Member for Hueytown Zoning and Adjustments. She has an 8-year-old son, Karson.
