John Olson

John is a Vice President within the Sponsor Insurance practice at CAC Specialty.  In this role, John provides management and professional liability advisory and brokerage services to clients, with a specific focus on private equity and other alternative asset management firms.

Prior to joining CAC Specialty, John serves as a Director on the Client Advisory practice at Founder Shield (a BRP Partner) where he specialized in policy placement for Venture Capital firms and risk management advisory for their high growth portfolio companies. Prior to joining Founder Shield, John worked as an Associate Broker on the Treaty Reinsurance team at Guy Carpenter, focusing primarily on Cyber and Financial Lines placements.

John earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Trinity College.  When not working, John enjoys hiking with his Australian Shepherd and travelling.
