Cody Thompson

Cody Thompson is a Vice President and Account Executive in the CAC Natural Resources Power and Renewables team and has been a broker since 2008. He has spent his broking career placing property and casualty insurance for everything from large, multi-national corporations with extensive risk management departments to middle-market clients who rely upon their broker to act as their outsourced risk manager.

Prior to joining CAC Specialty in 2021, Cody worked for Beecher Carlson with a focus in renewable energy and power. Prior to that, he spent time at Willis and Marsh focusing on energy clients in the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, and for USI representing a very diverse group of clients including EPC and oilfield service contractors, manufacturers and distributors, petrochemical manufacturers, property management companies, and staffing contractors. Before moving to the broker side, he was a primary casualty underwriter for AIG’s Global Energy division and handled workers’ compensation claims for The Hartford.

Cody graduated with a B.A. in economics from Northeastern University, and he achieved his Certified Risk Manager accreditation in 2018.
