Chirag Patel

Chirag Patel joined the CAC Specialty team in January of 2023 as an Account Executive, Vice President for the Natural Resources division. Chirag brings over a decade of energy dedicated insurance experience through a combination of underwriting and retail broker services, most recently having served as Vice President at Aon focusing on oil and gas clients.

Shortly after graduating from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s in business administration focusing on finance and marketing, Chirag began his insurance career by joining the Zurich Energy Casualty underwriting team. After five years, he moved to ACE as a National Accounts underwriter where he not only led the team in new business written premium but also worked on complex program structures with medium to large retentions, ultimately carrying those skills over to his most recent retail broker role at Aon where he had been since 2016.

Chirag lives in the Montrose-Houston area with his wife, Sarika, newborn daughter, Maya, and their dog, Lemon. He enjoys traveling, tennis, golf, softball, and trying all the delicious restaurants around Houston.
