CAC Specialty Hires Chelley Schaper to Lead Real Estate Practice
Nov 18, 2019
CAC Specialty is pleased to introduce Chelley Schaper as our newest Senior Vice President. Schaper brings more than 20 years of experience, including 16 years at Lockton working with complex risk accounts, with a specialization in the real estate industry. Most recently, Schaper founded a technology platform for the health and wellbeing company, ActiveSoul, Inc, where she served as CEO.
Combining her technical insurance expertise with a nimble and outside the box mentality, Schaper is a perfect addition to the team. She will assist CAC Specialty in the continued building of our Property and Casualty business, which will include her leadership of our Real Estate initiatives.
“I am thrilled to join some of the best minds in the industry to build a new type of broker,” Schaper said. “CAC’s commitment to technology to improve client service, coupled with its access to both the insurance and alternative risk capital solutions for clients, made it an easy decision to join the team.”
With the increasing complexities involved in placing complicated property and casualty risk, the insurance industry requires new ways of thinking about risk transfer. CAC Specialty is committed to bringing this type of innovation to its clients and prospects.
“CAC is committed to specializing by product and industry, allowing us to bring deep insight to our clients,” said President Bruce Denson Jr. “Real Estate is an area of very complicated risk issues, and we feel like we can make a major impact in our clients’ businesses; we are happy to add Chelley to the team to lead that effort.”
Schaper is a graduate of The University of Georgia, earning her bachelor’s degree in risk management and insurance. She is very active in charities that specifically help under privileged children and has served as a board member for How 101 for the past 11 years.
Expect more information soon regarding the growth and development of the Real Estate Practice, in addition to other CAC Specialty client initiatives.
