CAC Specialty Expands Transactional Liability Team with Five New Hires

CAC Specialty is pleased to welcome five new hires to its Transactional Liability Practice.  Specializing in representation and warranty insurance, tax insurance, and contingent risk insurance, these hires represent a substantial investment in the growing Transactional Liability Insurance market and reflect CAC Specialty’s position as a market leader in the space.

Alex Luxenburg specializes in representation and warranty insurance. Prior to joining, Alex underwrote representation & warranty insurance and held leadership positions with Hamilton Insurance and Chubb, before which he practiced law at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. Alex earned his Juris Doctor from New York Law School.

Jessie Friend also specializes in representation and warranty insurance, with an emphasis on insured-favorable policy language. Previously, Jessie served as a corporate and securities associate with a focus on representation and warranty insurance, emerging companies and M&A with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pitman. Jessie earned her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.

Shai Silverman will focus on contingent risk insurance. Shai joins CAC Specialty after years of experience as an appellate litigator, practicing law at the firms of Wiggin and Dana LLP, Mayer Brown, and Sullivan & Cromwell.  He also served a law clerk on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.  Shai earned his Juris Doctor from Yale Law School.

Jessica Kirk specializes in tax insurance and joins CAC Specialty after practicing law at Holland & Knight (formerly Thompson & Knight). At the law firm, she advised and represented clients with respect to a wide range of tax matters. Jessica earned her Juris Doctor from the SMU Dedman School of Law.

Bruce Laney joins from Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel and Elarbee, Thompson, Sapp & Wilson, LLP, where he was a labor and employment paralegal. Bruce earned his Bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University.
