Darren Sonderman

Darren is an Executive Vice President with CAC Specialty and is a co-leader of the Financial Lines Practice. He brings nearly thirty years of underwriting and brokering experience, focused on traditional Executive Liability insurance as well as non-traditional risks including dual trigger insurance solutions, trading errors and omissions, unauthorized trading, all-risk professional liability, intellectual property, credit enhancement, credit default, technology efficacy, operational risk, anti-trust, environmental, and transaction liability solutions.

He works with clients to leverage deep insurer relationships and complex coverage experience. Darren has successfully crafted and negotiated insurance that have efficiently paid hundreds of millions of dollars (without insurer litigation) when other similarly situated companies saw insurers deny coverage for the same underlying loss events.

Before joining CAC, Darren was a Executive Vice President with McGriff, Seibels and Williams where he co-founded and led the Financial Services Division. While at McGriff, he was involved in, and contributed to, the negotiation and execution of insurance products achieving insurance recovery in excess of $2B for clients across a wide range of industries, including financial services, technology, insurance, and fintech.
