CAC Specialty strengthens Contingent Risk Solutions Team with Megan Easley joining as Vice President

May 2, 2022

CAC Specialty is excited to welcome Megan Easley to its Contingent Risk Solutions Team as a Vice President. Megan joins CAC Specialty from Omni Bridgeway, one of the largest litigation funding groups in the world.

Megan brings additional litigation finance experience to the group and further solidifies CAC Specialty’s position as the go-to broker for litigation risk insurance policies in the United States, with an industry-leading $2 billion in insurance limits placed last year.

“We are thrilled to have Megan join our growing Contingent Risk Solutions Team,” said Michael Wakefield, Executive Vice President and Transactional Insurance Practice Leader at CAC Specialty. “Our investment matches our commitment to this space. We have built the largest dedicated group of contingent and litigation risk brokers in the nation because we believe in importance of these solutions for litigants, law firms, and finance groups.”

Megan will work with David Barnes and Andrew Mutter, who co-lead the CAC Specialty Contingent Risk Solutions Team, as well as Shai Silverman, who joined the team in 2021. “Megan brings another incredibly strong appellate legal mind to our team,” said David Barnes, Senior Vice President. “After law school, Megan clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, making four U.S. Court of Appeals clerks on our team, and she is experienced in analyzing cases from multiple sides on appeal.”

“Our aim is to be the very best advocates for our client’s legal risks in the marketplace. That requires top-flight legal and interpersonal skills. Megan’s experience on Omni Bridgeway’s investment team and her time managing hundreds of millions of dollars of legal disputes at GE Capital will prove invaluable. We are delighted she chose to join our team,” said Andrew Mutter, Senior Vice President.

Megan earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Georgetown University and her J.D. from Cornell Law School.
