CAC Specialty Continues Expansion of its Natural Resources Practice with Executive Level Power, Utilities and Renewables Hire, Sara Kane

CAC Specialty, a specialty insurance brokerage platform bringing bespoke insurance solutions to public and private corporations and private equity sponsors, is pleased to welcome Sara Kane as co-leader of CAC Specialty’s Power, Utility and Renewables vertical, a part of the Natural Resources Division.

“We are excited to add yet another significant leader to our team,” said Gary King, Executive Chairman of CAC Natural Resources. “Sara has spent nearly a decade working as a broker, an underwriter and a risk manager, and brings tremendous knowledge in innovative insurance and risk management practices to the global energy sector.” Sara is joining a rapidly growing CAC Natural Resources practice (CAC NR), which continues to add and expand its team with industry-leaders and purpose-driven professionals.

Prior to joining CAC Specialty, Sara served as Managing Director of Beecher Carlson’s Global Energy Sector. Her experience in underwriting, risk management and brokering makes her an effective negotiator and collaborator, which results in positive outcomes for her clients and carrier partners.

Our division delivers innovative risk solutions, industry-leading talent, and a vision to provide the best coverage and service in an ever-changing energy environment,” said Sara.

Sara is a graduate of Duke University. She holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Yale School of Management, and a Masters in Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
