May 3, 2021

We are pleased to announce the hire of Erin Lynch as President of our Natural Resources division and co-leader of our Power, Utility and Renewables vertical. Most recently, Erin led the Global Energy Practice at Beecher Carlson during her 14 year tenure.

“We are extremely excited to have such an esteemed leader join our team,” said Gary King, Executive Chairman of CAC Natural Resources. “Erin brings vision and creativity to one of the most dynamic sectors in the industry, and she is a great addition to this powerhouse of new hires that have joined our company over the last several months.”

Erin joins a rapidly growing CAC Specialty Natural Resources practice (CAC NR), which recently expanded with the addition of several well-known industry leaders. CAC’s sister company, Cobbs Allen, has also added talent to the Natural Resources team with its rebranding of the Houston Energy Practice.

“Our growth in Natural Resources represents another key step in our long-term strategy to be the leader in property, casualty & surety driven industry verticals,” commented Paul Sparks, Executive Chairman of CAC Specialty. “Adding someone with Erin’s experience and leadership capabilities will assist in catapulting CAC NR to the top of the Energy stack, particularly in the power and renewables sector. In the power, utility and renewables space, we are becoming a magnet for great new hires and we look forward to continuing to capitalize on this momentum.”

Prior to joining CAC Specialty, Erin led the Global Energy Practice at Beecher Carlson and was responsible for leading a national team of seasoned professionals dedicated to delivering customized risk management and insurance solutions to the power generation sector. She was twice named a Power Broker in the Energy and Utility division by Risk & Insurance magazine, and was honored as a 2017 Women to Watch Honoree by Business Insurance.  Most recently, she was named a 2020 Elite Woman by Insurance Business America and a member of the 2021 Business Global 100 list.

“I am thrilled to join CAC Specialty and to help steward the Natural Resources division with the goal of becoming the premier national energy brokerage team in the industry. This platform brings to market unmatched industry talent, innovative risk solutions and the vision needed to support a rapidly evolving energy landscape,” said Erin.

Erin is a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Journalism and spent the first five years of her career as a broadcast journalist prior to taking her first role in insurance at Willis Towers Watson.
